Monday night, while appearing on CNN alongside host Don Lemon, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre laughed off the host’s questions regarding President Biden’s mental fitness to serve another term in office.
The 79-year-old President has insisted he will run for office again in 2024 amid concerns about his age and mental health. The President’s intentions have been questioned by members of his own party, with a handful of democrats telling the New York Times they have concerns about Biden.
Jean-Pierre recoiled when CNN’s Don Lemon asked about Biden’s fitness for office after 2024.
“Don, you’re asking me this question!” she said. “Oh my gosh. He’s the President of the United States!”
Jean-Pierre noted she could not keep up with the President and lauded his supposed accomplishments.
DON LEMON: “Does the president has the stamina, physically and mentally, do you think to continue on even after 2024?”

“That is not a question that we should even be asking,” she said. “Just look at the work he does. And look how he’s delivering for the American public.”
When asked about the article in the New York Times, she said the story was cruel.
“That article that you’re talking about, it’s hearsay, it’s malicious,” she said. “That’s not what we care about.”
Lemon’s inquiry comes just days after the President had another blunder with the media when he noted he was undecided on a trip to Saudi Arabia but moments later confirmed his plans to make the trip.
