A retired county judge was zip-tied and killed in his Wisconsin home last Friday.
Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul said the shooting death of retired Juneau County Judge John Roemer was a “targeted act.”
The gunman, who was identified as Douglas Uhde, 56, had a ‘hit list’ that included Michigan Governor Whitmer, Senator McConnell and Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers.
Douglas Uhde was found in the basement of judge Roemer’s home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
After spending several days in the hospital in critical condition, Douglas Uhde has died.

Douglas K. Uhde, the man accused of shooting and killing former Juneau County Circuit Court Judge John Roemer, died Tuesday after being in critical condition for four days, according to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
Uhde, 56, was declared legally brain-dead at 9:41 a.m. Saturday and his body remained on life-support until Tuesday to allow for organ donation, the release said.
It was later revealed that Uhde had been sentenced to prison by the judge more than 15 years ago, court documents show, CNN reported.
Uhde pleaded guilty to burglary-armed with a dangerous weapon, possession of a short-barreled shotgun/rifle, felony possession of a firearm and a misdemeanor of carrying a concealed weapon, according to a judgment of conviction from November 10, 2005, obtained by CNN. He was sentenced to six years in prison followed by nine years of extended supervision, according to the judgment of conviction.
Uhde has not been charged in relation to the judge’s killing, and CNN has not been able to determine if he has a lawyer.
