The Pennsylvania Senatorial race looks like a two-man contest between Dr. Mehmet Oz, best known as the host of daytime TV’s “The Dr. Oz Show,” and former hedge fund CEO David McCormick.
At 8:44 CT: With 39.4% of the vote in David McCormick has 31.9% of the vote. Mehmet Oz has 29.9%. And Kathy Barnette is at 23%.
UPDATE 8:54 PM CT: With 50% of the vote reported Dave McCormick leads with 32% of vote, Dr. Oz has 30% of the vote and Kathy Barnette has 23.3% of the vote.
UPDATE 9:25 CT: With 79% of the vote reported Dave McCormick leads with 31.9% of vote, Dr. Oz has 30.8% of the vote and Kathy Barnette has 23.7% of the vote.
UPDATE: 22:00 CT: With 99% of the vote reporting – Dave McCormick leads with 31.5% of vote, Dr. Oz has 31.3% of the vote and Kathy Barnette has 24.3% of the vote.
UPDATE: 22:35 CT: With 95.8% of the vote reporting (Yes, we noticed this was lower than the last report.)- Dave McCormick leads with 31.4% of vote, Dr. Oz has 31.1% of the vote and Kathy Barnette has 24.5% of the vote.
We may be looking at a mandatory recount.
Btw, even if/when Oz takes the lead, it’s still hard to see how it doesn’t end in recount territory. PA has an auto law on the books.
