Jensen Beach, Florida – A handyman was arrested and charged with murder after the body of a missing woman was found in a septic tank.
34-year-old Keoki Hilo Demich was charged with second-degree murder after remains of 57-year-old Cynthia Cole were found in her backyard septic tank.
Cynthia Cole was last seen on February 24 at the Jammin Jensen event, WPBF reported.
Law enforcement told the outlet that Ring camera footage showed Demich getting out of Cole’s car the night she went missing.
Police searched Cole’s property and noticed the top of the backyard septic tank was partially open and when they looked inside, they saw Cole’s body.
“I’ve been doing this 40-plus years. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told WPBF.

A handyman is facing a murder charge after the body of a missing Florida woman was found in a septic tank buried in her own backyard, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
34-year-old Keoki Hilo Demich was charged with second-degree murder after the body believed to be 57-year-old Cynthia cole was found in the septic tank of her Jensen Beach home on February 25, investigators said.
After hours of excavating Cole’s backyard, the body was found submerged in the contents of the septic tank about 4 feet underground.
A short time later, detectives located and arrested Demich who worked as a handyman for Cole, according to MCSO.
