Jake Lang remains in good spirits after an anything-but-normal holiday season. After giving a Newsmax interview, Lang said all of his communication was recently cut off my prison staff.
“They’re afraid of the truth getting out, so they’re doing everything they possibly can,” Lang said. “They’ve taken everything I can possibly use to get my voice-and the truth out.”
During the interview, Jake affirmed the prison would punish him for speaking out.
“The jail shut off my phone for an entire week without giving me a warning or anything,” Jake said, describing the retaliation. “I mean all of my communication. I couldn’t talk to my attorney.”
DC Department of Corrections protocol states “Attorneys and their agents shall have 24 hour access to their clients.” This is not happening.
The DC Human Rights Act of 1977-governing behavior at the prison and other government run-entities – states guards cannot treat defendants differently because of their political views.
This is not the first time Jake has been denied access to his lawyer. According to Ned Lang, Jake’s father, it often takes weeks to set up an attorney visit. At one point, Jake’s lawyer showed up at the jail and was denied entry.
These civil rights violations make it difficult-if not impossible-for Lang to defend himself and prepare a case to confront his accusers. This is could be avoided if Lang was released on bail before trial.
Jake contrasts his plight with the treatment of repeat offenders:
“You have career criminals-on their 10th, 15th, and 20tharrest-that commit heinous crimes-assault, robbery, shooting-and they’re getting out on a revolving door in Seattle, New York, and Chicago-all over the country. I’m on video saving Philip Anderson and that’s not enough to let me out.”
On Jan 6th Jake Lang acted quickly, pulling Philip Anderson out from underneath a pile of bodies police deliberately shoved on top of each other. Jake had his hands in the air-warning police loudly to stop harming people-just moments before he saw Roseanne Boyland die.

Jake Lang: They’re afraid of the truth getting out and they’ve done everything they can possibly do from the day of Jan. 6th til today, Jan. 5th, 2022 to silence the patriots who were there who witnessed the police brutality, who witnessed all of the atrocities of Jan. 6th that the police committed against unarmed Americans just protesting a stolen election.
And they’ve taken away my Instagram, they’ve taken away my ability to do interviews. They’ve taken away everything I can possibly use to get out my voice and get out the truth.
They told my lawyer, ‘you need to sign a nondisclosure agreement to view the evidence’ against me. We’re not allowed to share any of that evidence to the news media. The exculpatory, exonerating evidence that shows me saving people’s lives, that shows the patriots being battered and beaten disgustingly, and attacked by police.
But they are unarmed, they’re not doing anything. So the American public has been totally in the darkness and they haven’t been able to see any of the truth of Jan.6th. And that’s actually why we started a website, j6truth.org, that has I mean, unbelievable videos on there showing the police shoving a man off of a 30 ft ledge. He fell, broke his leg.
It shows Roseanne Boyland, the woman that I tried to help saving her life, she gets beaten down and killed by the police. There’s videos on the website that the American public needs to go see on j6truth.org and watch this for yourself. And the truth about Jan. 6th so you can understand what they are hiding from you.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: I have seen the video on that website where on j6truth, Philip Anderson is rescued by you. I saw an affidavit from your lawyer in which Philip describes what happened. Why does the court not see this? Is this reaching the court at all?
Jake Lang: The court, at my last bond application, has seen this video. But it does not weigh apparently in enough favor for me to get out. Meanwhile, you have 10, 15, 20th-time charged career criminals, on their 20th arrest that committed heinous crimes-robbery, assault, you know, huge entries, gunshot wounds, and they’re getting out a revolving door in Seattle, New York, Chicago, all over the country. And I’m on video saving Philip Anderson’s life, but that doesn’t weigh in enough favor for me to get out.
We have a two-tiered political system and a justice system in this country. And if I was a leftist and the same thing happened to me, I’d be out right now with my family, probably charges dropped by a local DA, but because I’m a conservative and a Trump supporter, I’m being hit with the full book, with the full FBI, a full force, everything the prosecutor can throw at me because I’m a Trump supporter.
There’s-you know, hundreds of examples of Antifa and Black Lives Matter protesters getting caught in similar situations and they went into those protests with ill intent, looking to destroy and they don’t share the same political beliefs as far as, you know, defending the Constitution and standing up for your rights and they’re just there to cause mayhem and havoc. And they’re getting let out that revolving door.
But you have a young man on video saving the life of Philip Anderson and I can’t get out on bond. And it’s been a year now. And we’re one day away from Jan. 6th and wondering where the outrage is from Americans.
We have 40 men in here who are all heroes. They’ve sacrificed so much and 15 veterans in here, 10 Marines. I mean, these are the cream of the crop of American patriots and we’re all sitting in here, and we feel abandoned by Americans because, where’ the outrage? Where are the protests? Where are the people standing up and demanding our rights and beliefs and demanding that we can get equal treatment under the law?
Black Lives Matter and Antifa can riot and destroy cities and burn down federal courthouses for two years. And they don’t get treated like we’re getting treated. And the American conservatives don’t feel like it’s necessary or a worthy cause to stand up and start rallying behind. But I would say that they’re really wrong. That, if you don’t stand up for the people who stood up for you, than sooner enough, they’re going to come and treat all of us like they’re treating us right now.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: Right. No, exactly. I’ve heard that before and that couldn’t be more, any more real now. I do have a question, Jake. In the DOJ complaints, there is a statement saying there’s a Facebook post where you say that your foot was shattered. That you had stitches on your skull and deep cuts. Where did those injuries come from?
Jake Lang: I was defending my life and defending the lives of other people in similar situations to Philip and I. And at the end of that defensive front that we had set up, I ended up getting shot by police with a rubber bullet and it shattered my foot. I was on crutches for a month. I received no medical care when I was arrested either. They just had me hobbling around the country- they took me from 5 different jails. They put me on a plane and they flew me to Oklahoma.
Meanwhile, hobbling around on a shattered foot. The head stitches, the deep lacerations that I received by the Capitol Police was from inside the tunnel. When we were simply filming and there supporting our country, and all of a sudden, these police officers started wacking people over the head, their bare heads with metal batons. And I seen way worse injuries than I got even. I had a huge laceration on the top of my skull.
Cause I’m a young man. But I seen older, gray-haired people and people with veteran hats on getting bashed in the skull. I’ve seen small women getting bashed in the skull. And I’ve seen them collapsed and hit the ground. And it looked like they were dead. And I started to have to defend myself and the people around me. And it was over two hours long that defensive stand we took there to make sure that nobody else died. I mean, Roseanne died in my arms.
And there would have been many more casualties if it wasn’t for me and other men like me who stand up and said that they need to stop killing these people in front of our eyes, that we need to defend our lives and defend these people. There would have been ten, fifteen deaths in that tunnel if people didn’t defend themselves.
Because we were unarmed. And the police had riot shields, metal batons, knee pads, shoulder pads, elbow pads. They were fully, completely decked out. From head to toe, you couldn’t hurt them. But we had nothing. And they were just beating us down.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: I heard at the end of the J6truth video where it’s showing Philip Anderson’s rescue, a few men in the crowd are asking how they can help you. Did they get you medical care, or what happened when those men asked if they could help you?
Jake Lang: Yeah, at the end of that video- I haven’t seen the video because I’ve been in jail for a year-but I, I don’t know if it right after I dragged Philip Anderson down, they give him medical care. So he was completely unconscious, he was just a few minutes away from death.
He reports he was holding Roseanne Boyland’s hand as she lost her life and I’m yanking on Roseanne and can’t save her. She’s at the bottom of this dogpile that the police created by pushing people over and off of each other and pepper spraying them and hitting them with this noxious gas until they’re unconscious. I couldn’t save Roseanne, she was beyond saving. She actually died in my arms and I looked over to my right and I saw Philip Anderson with his tongue hanging out of the side of his head.
He was unconscious and he was about to meet the same fate as her. And I was able, he was in a better position that I moved over and was able to get underneath him and kind of un-budge him and drag him back out from the bottom of this pile. And as I dragged him down off the steps, there’s like a volunteer medic area with all of these brave patriot medics who were there-flushing out people’s eyes, resuscitating people, giving them medical care, and so I dragged Philip over there and he received medical care. And they revived him and his life was given another chance by God.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: Yes.
Jake Lang: And I’m so grateful, because he’s such a strong patriot and he stands up for me and for all of the guys in here. And we’re thankful to have Philip alive.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: Philip respects you, and we’ve had an opportunity to speak to him about what happened. And he says that he doesn’t know what would have happened to him if he hadn’t been rescued.
Jake Lang: Yeah, God bless him. And we love Philip and the unity that you see there-I’m a white Jewish Trump supporter. Philip’s a young black man. And he almost got killed by the hands of police brutality on the steps of the Capitol. And I didn’t think
[recording on prison phone goes off-‘You have one minute left.’]
Of race or gender or whatever. We were just all Americans that day. And we love our country. We stood up for what was right. For American values, for the Constitution, and we were just one patriotic group that day. And that’s the kind of narrative that the media’s hiding. That Philip almost died at the hands of police brutality and he was saved by a white Trump supporter.
You’ll never see that on CNN as long as you live.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: That’s right. Well, we appreciate you joining us. And you are in our thoughts and prayers more than you may know.
Jake Lang: Thank you so much for having me. Continue the fight, everybody on the outside, go to j6truth.org. Continue to stand up, continue to love this country and love God and we will. He’s on our side. The fight is already one.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: That’s right.
Jake Lang: Thank you so much, Laura. Thanks, Nick.
Nick Mastrangelo: Thanks, Nick.
Jake Lang: We’ll speak to you soon. God bless.
Listen as Philip Anderson expresses gratitude to Jake Lang for his rescue while he sits in prison.
Ned Lang, Jake’s father, remembers feeling uneasy as he tried to discern what exactly happened on Jan 6th. Once he heard the truth, he was proud of his son.
“I came around pretty quickly, he’s [Jake’s] not raised to get in fights with cops,” says Ned.
Jake’s father hasn’t seen his son face-to-face since he appeared in court last September. Since that time, Ned describes dealing with corrupt, power-hungry government officials:
You can read the full-transcript of Ned’s remarks here:
Nick Mastrangelo: I remember Ned, earlier you mentioning the DC Department of Corrections isn’t following their official policy. And Laura and I, we were just curious, in that policy it states that attorneys are allowed 24/7 access to their clients. Are you in the know of anything of what’s been happening when Jake’s lawyer goes to see him?
Ned Lang: Yeah, it’s unbelievable. So it takes usually it takes weeks for Steve to be able to connect with Jake, to be able to go and visit him. A few times, I believe Steve went there and they wouldn’t even let him into the prison on a scheduled visit.
When they do meet, it’s through glass, plexiglass. The guards can hear every word that is said between Jake and his attorney. It’s a fallacy that Jake has any type of attorney/client privilege, that there’s any type of real defense that you can manage to put together because everything that you’re doing, saying, is being monitored at every level by the DOC. And their corruption is so flagrant and so abusive that it’s mind-blowing.
It’s unbelievable. It’s like we’re in a third world country like we’re in Nicaragua or something. It’s, there’s no Constitution, there’s no rules. These people walk over every rule. Through every right that an American has. It’s unfathomable. I’ve never- I can’t imagine this is our legal and our justice system and our Department of Corrections. It’s abhorrent. It’s unbelievable.
Nick Mastrangelo: Yeah, it really is unbelievable. There are rules, they’re just not seeming to follow a good number of them.
Ned Lang: Well, take for instance when just last week, Jake was on Newsmax. They found out and they shut down his phone and I guess his personal account. Then he went to a friend of his’ account and they shut him down on that. And then they shut down both of their accounts for a week. And Jake had no contact whatsoever with the outside world since last week, and then I got a phone call from him.
And just, and don’t forget, we- Steve and I-just did an interview this morning with the Epoch Times and this TV program- but it’s hard to remember everybody. But however Steve is mentioned there, and the lady mentioned there are 14-16 Congressman that actually sent a letter to the Department of Corrections and the US Marshals, that they are actually going to hold them criminally responsible for their actions and for all of the abuses that are occurring against the J6 patriots while they’re in prison.
And when we take back the house next year, they’re going to follow up on that and have hearings and hold them in contempt. So that should be very interesting. And after that, seriously, my son got his phone privileges back. Yeah, it’s unbelievable.
He needs to get on bail. These folks, these Antifa people and BLM people who hurt, injured, plundered robbed, shot cops had Kamala Harris out there-stomping for them, pushing for them-telling them no bail- actually having those states’ attorney generals cancel all of the violations of all of their crimes that they had committed, and there’s no charges applied to these people. And they walked away scot-free when they did much worse things than my son is accused of having done.
Nick Mastrangelo: Exactly. Have complaints been filed at the jail where Jake is and is the warden aware of these civil rights violations.
Ned Lang: Well, actually the US Marshals went in there months ago. And they actually had to move 15-20 patriots out of that prison because they are in charge of Jake and the rest of the patriots and in their care-and the US Marshals did an inspection in the jail-it’s all over the Internet if you want to go to that-and they found so many violations.
And the conditions are way below the standards. The abuses are uncontrolled by the guards. They’ve maced my son 3 or 4 times. They’ve punched him. They-the one gentleman, the Marine, think he did a couple of tours in Iraq and Afghanistan-they beat him so bad in the middle of the night that he lost sight of his eye, his eye socket, broke his jaw, broke his shoulder, his arm, he doesn’t have total use of his arm anymore. Yeah, it’s unbelievable what’s going on.
Nick Mastrangelo: It sure is. Is there anything else you would like the public to know and/or do?
Ned Lang: Well, definitely reach out to your Congressman and Senators. I’ve reached out to mind-Delgado. He’s useless, in New York State. Absolutely worthless.
And I made the point to Delgado and his staff. I said, listen, my son right now, he’s a white Jewish boy, he’s in prison, but I said the majority of the prison system is black. Why do you not want reform for the prison system? You’re a Congressman now. You can actually do something right now.
Right now, my son is suffering. But this has been going on forever, but it’s acutely stacked or directed at my son and the rest of the J6 patriots. But the abuses that have been going on in this country, they’ve been doing so for a long time.
So even if your Congressman or Congresswoman is a Democrat liberal, they should still be on the bandwagon here saying let’s stop this and get the prison system fair and equitable and they’re not abusing people and they’re actually trying to help the people who need it most in prison. A lot of these people are on drugs and whatever else who are criminals and then, they go to prison and it’s even worse.
So the message is even if your Congressman or Congresswoman is a liberal, is a Democrat, they still should have an interest in what’s going on with these guys. And the folks out in America-whether you’re- I don’t care what side of the political spectrum you’re on right now-this, what’s going on should not be tolerated in this country.
Putin said it best. He said America has no right to just call out or to punish or to create some sort of problem in another country just because of their political prisoners. For the first time ever, America has political prisoners. And America is no better than any other country in the world that’s punishing people, punishing its citizens for their political outlook.
So, whatever side of the political spectrum you’re on, and you’re a parent in this country-you should be concerned. Because right now, it’s ours- it’s my son, and other people’s sons and daughters, that are getting persecuted and in prison because of their political beliefs.
But when the right comes into power and if they started doing it, I would be no friend of theirs either. There is no justification for this type of political persecution in our country and people are being stripped of their rights and the government- this is tyrannical-just walking over other people’s rights. And this is not to be tolerated. And we need to be aware of that and all Americans should be concerned because it can happen to anyone and that is not ok.
Nick Mastrangelo: Exactly. In that same boat. If the right was doing it, I wouldn’t be okay with it either.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: That’s right. Have you had any encounters, personally Ned, with the prison staff? Have they spoken to you, and what is their demeanor?
Ned Lang: I spoke to, I called up the warden 4 or 5 times. And I finally got a call back from her assistant. You know, I said ‘Why, can I not, as a parent, come down and see my son? I’m not vaccinated. He’s not vaccinated. Who cares?’
I said, ‘I’m not going to touch him, he’s going to be behind plexiglass.’
And [she said,] ‘ah, no. We can’t. This is prison policy and stuff.’
And I said, ‘well, we can’t even do video conferencing. I mean, nothing.’
So, the only time I saw my son was when he was in the court room in chains and shackles. And when he tried to say hi to his mom and me, that, that nasty guard said ‘Don’t you look at your parents. Don’t you acknowledge them.’
Whatever. Complete, just a nasty… But anyway, that’s the only time I’ve seen my son was in September. And these, I have to say, bastards, they have a little bit of power, and just want to exercise it just trying to beat my son down. It ain’t happening.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: Well, he honored his father and mother.
Ned Lang: Yes, absolutely. And when I first heard about what was happening, with stuff going on with cops and things, I didn’t understand. But as the truth started coming out, and we started seeing the videos, and I saw the video of my son saving Philip Anderson, I saw what exactly happened that day.
And I came around pretty quickly. You know, he was not raised to beat cops, and he was not raised to get in fights with cops. He was raised to do the right thing and people-he does have a sordid past-there’s no two ways about that-but what kid these days doesn’t?
But, you know, you’re- there’s a lot of pressure on him to walk the straight and narrow. And he’s coming around. And so, and then I came around. Because I found out the truth myself. And it’s been quite a journey.”
You can hear Ned Lang’s advice to other families experiencing political persecution and hardship:
ent wants to do. They really want to persecute and prosecute these folks because of their political beliefs. Do not succumb to the government. Do not plead and get 3, 4, 5-year sentences for simple misdemeanors.
God knows, I just read in New York City today, they’re letting, they’re not even prosecuting them for most felonies and all misdemeanors. And they’re not prosecuting them anymore.
So, this is not okay. You need to stand up to the government and say, ‘no, we’re not going to accept this.’
If you can’t afford an attorney, and you do have someone who is working for you as an attorney who is not being paid-that if they want to just plea this thing out-don’t do it. The sentences should be fair and equitable across the board. So I told my son, ‘I’m very, very proud of you. We are not plea-ing. We are not going to go down and let the government walk all over us.’
We are going to stand up. And the only way to really truly vet what happened on Jan. 6th is through trial. And we’re going to go to trial. And you need to push back against these folks because that’s the only thing that they understand.
So stand up for yourself, stand up for your rights, the rights of your children, the rights of your friends, and push back. And it’s going to be tough going. They’re going to suffer. I understand that. It’s unfortunate. But the more that they suffer, it seems like these days, the more Americans have a heart and an understanding of what happened and what’s happening to them, irregardless of what their thoughts are about Jan. 6th.
And the American public, I believe, as we continue this conversation, understands that no matter what side of the political spectrum you’re on, you need fair an equitable justice and we do not have it any further under the Biden administration. This gulag in Washington DC should be not tolerated. So stand up for your children’s rights.
Go to J6truth.org, you can contact us through that. And I have a documentary coming out. The trailer has just been released.
And it’s going to talk about-The J6 Truth-that’s the name of the documentary-it’s going to talk about how did we get from here to where we are now? And where are we going?
And it talks about the BLM and Antifa riots, right through to the election, then it goes into President Trump’s speeches. We also talk about the impeachment process and how unfair it was. I mean, how this whole thing has been building and building, and finally to this huge peaceful protest that was turned violent by political-and through police brutality.
My son saved lives. Other folks there saved lives. The only people that died that day were Trump supporters. And now you have the gulag in Washington, DC. And what a sad state of affairs it is for America.
And where do we go from now? We fight. We fight through the court systems, we try to fight through the political systems, take the House, take the Senate back, and hold those responsible for all the injustices that are happening to our folks right now.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: And Ned, I can hear in Jake’s voice when he did in interview with our founder Jim Hoft, how he says he will be exonerated. And I can hear in his podcast, he talks about compassion for human life. It seems like because of that strength and boldness, it seems like that’s why they’re intimidating him and those that they know have the truth.
Ned Lang: Yes, exactly. They try to intimidate him, but you know, what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger and Jake is strong. He was brought up strong. He has strong values. And he will-we will beat this. And I am telling you-there’s all holds apart-we’re pulling out all the strings and we’re going mount one really great defense and bring this to the truth.
We’re finding out more and more that there’s folks that were there on J6, that appear to be government enticers, insurgents that were enticing the crowd, pushing them, telling them to go there, bah bah, and we’re going to find out.
We’re going to get these people on the stand. We’re going to find out exactly why they did what they did. And the longer this draws out, the more information, the more evidence we’re getting. The more it shows that this is clearly are ploy, these people are enticed into the Capitol. They were up there, they were peaceful. They were entrapped because there were so many of them, you just can’t go run away, and police attacked them.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: Right.
Ned Lang: And the police attacked them with everything they had. And they killed some of the folks there. And that’s why there was violence at the Capitol. Not that there wasn’t some violence down there at the gates and stuff. But who knows if they were Trump supporters or Antifa or BLM. Definitely know there’s BLM and Antifa folks there.
But where my son was, they were hanging out. They were, everything was cool when all hell broke out and police attacked.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: We were grateful that Jake was there to save Philip’s life.
Ned Lang: Yes.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: Have you met Philip at all as well?
Ned Lang: Yeah, I actually flew Philip up and some other folks at the rally. I’ve been to all three rallies with Look Forward America. And I flew him up and some other folks that were there. And I met him, had dinner with him, spent some time with Philip. And Philip spoke. There were a lot of people there. And it was a great rally, so yes, I know Philip pretty well. We chat every once in a while.
Laura Elizabeth Jenkins: That’s- I can imagine-I just hear the respect and the friendship when they were doing that interview [with Jim Hoft] and it’s very meaningful to hear that, that someone has had a second chance.
Ned Lang: Yes, it truly it. You know, it was just very unfortunate. But it was a huge set-up. That’s really what it was. And they knew these folks were pissed off. They knew that they went down there to the Capitol-nobody was there to fire or anything like that-but it wouldn’t take much just to- you know, and people went up on the Capitol grounds.
And you can see, most people are just hanging out up there. And they’re saying ‘this is what we did back in the ‘60s, and in the ‘70s.’
And, I mean, look at Kamala Harris, right. All of those folks in trying to-when Cavanaugh was getting certified by the Senate and things like that-and she brought in about 30 or 40 people into the Senate hearing, trying to break things up. And they were shouting and creating all kinds of problems. Not one of those people were charged with anything.
Here you have people who just went into the Capitol building. They’re hanging out. And they’re being charged with all of these felonies and then misdemeanors. It’s such a travesty. It’s such an injustice, what’s happening to Americans and their rights. But, you know we’re fighting back and we’re not taking this sitting down and we will not be pushed around.
