President Donald Trump’s endorsement remains the strongest force in American politics.
After Harriet Hageman defeated Liz Cheney on Tuesday, Trump’s updated endorsement record has become 209-17.
Five candidates backed by former President Donald J. Trump won their primary races in Wyoming and Alaska Tuesday night, growing his overall endorsement record to 209-17 in 2022.
Perhaps the biggest win for Trump in this year’s election cycle came Tuesday night when Harriet Hageman thumped incumbent Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) in Wyoming’s Congressional race. Cheney, an impeachment Republican in the House of Representatives and the vice chair of the January 6 Select Committee, did not come close to her challenger in the contest for the At-Large Congressional District.
Trump has backed candidates to make sure RINOs don’t return to Congress.
Eight of the Ten House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump either lost their primary election or decided not to run again.
The other two advanced in their general election primaries.
Three-term Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) became the eighth of the 10 Republicans who voted for Donald Trump’s impeachment to either retire or be defeated by party rivals endorsed by the former president.

Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Mich.) was defeated by Trump-backed John Gibbs; Rep. Tom Rice (R-S.C.) was trounced by more than 25 percentage points by Trump-endorsed state Rep. Russell Fry; and Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) lost a narrow primary election to Joe Kent, who was also supported by Trump.
The only two to advance to the general election in primary battles are Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.) and Rep. David Valadao (R-Calif.).
