Democrat Hank Johnson and some other Democrats want to add four more Justices to the Supreme Court. Someone needs to ask him if we can wait to do so when there’s a Republican in the White House with a Republican congress?
Hank Johnson is a Democrat House member, a politician, and based on his comments over time, an idiot. For example, in one of the House Committee meetings, Johnson claimed Guam might tip over into the ocean.
Johnson later said Trump should be impeached for *checks notes* being taller than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. But he wasn’t done.
“And they’re standing there and President Trump is holding court and he says oh by the way, ‘no quid pro quo, no pressure’ and you saw President Zelensky shaking his head as if his daughter was downstairs in the basement duct-taped.”
Yesterday Newsmax reported that Representative Johnson and other Democrats want more far-left judges on the Supreme Court.
Claiming “basic freedoms are under assault” from the “ultra right-wing” branch of the Supreme Court that recently reversed Roe v. Wade, a group of eight House Democrats called for legislation Monday that would create four new seats on the high court, The Hill reports.
Citing recent court decisions that allowed prayer in school athletics and tossed a New York gun control law, as well as the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that overturned Roe’s federally established right to abortion, the lawmakers said the court’s current makeup demonstrates the need for new justices.
Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson, a Democrat and the primary sponsor of the 2021 Judiciary Act, told The Hill that the court, as it stands now, is “a Supreme Court at crisis with itself and with our democracy,” where “basic freedoms are under assault” from the 6-3 conservative majority.
