Emmy-nominated actor Tyler Sanders died unexpectedly Thursday at his home in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 18.
Pedro Tapia, Tyler’s talent agent, confirmed his death but did not provide further details.
“Tyler was a talented actor with a bright future,” Tapia told Fox News Digital. “He comes from a wonderful family, and we ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”
The cause of death is currently unknown. According to Tapia, Tyler’s death is under investigation.
According to Los Angeles Medical Examiner-Coroner’s website, Tyler’s cause of death is listed as “deferred,” meaning the autopsy has been completed but a cause of death has not been determined. The medical examiner is “requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies.”
Authorities told TMZ they got a call for a male not breathing on Thursday. Officers arrived at the scene and found Tyler alone in the home. Shortly after, Tyler was pronounced dead.
At this time, officers believed there were no indications of foul play or suspicious circumstances.

Sanders entered show business at the age of 10. In addition to his role on “9-1-1: Lone Star” opposite Rob Lowe, he starred in projects such as “The Rookie,” “Fear the Walking Dead” and the Amazon Prime series “Just Add Magic: Mystery City.”
The young performer, who also studied improv and stand-up comedy, received a 2021 Daytime Emmy nomination for his role as Leo in the “Just Add Magic” spin-off, and has a pair of independent films currently in postproduction, according to his IMDb.com profile.
Sanders was active on his social media pages, including his Instagram with more than 12,000 followers, on which he frequently shared photos of himself with his co-stars, friends and other nature-filled adventures.
Tyler’s last social media upload was on Sunday at Vail, Colorado, where Sanders looked very dapper in a blue suit.

Last week, Cooper Noriega, 19, was found unconscious in a mall parking lot outside Los Angeles. The cause of his death has not been released.
“Our sources say Cooper was not in a vehicle, and there were no signs of trauma on his body. At this time, we’re told there’s no foul play suspected and an autopsy will be performed,” TMZ reported.
According to Los Angeles Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office, his cause of death has been “deferred,” pending additional investigation is needed.
