President Biden told reporters that he hadn’t decided whether to visit Saudi Arabia to beg for more oil before saying he was indeed planning a trip there seconds later.
“Have you decided whether or not to go to Saudi Arabia,” a reporter asks Biden.
“No, not yet,” Biden replies on camera.
Moments later, Biden said that he was going.
Joe Biden says he hasn’t decided whether to visit Saudi Arabia, who he previously called “a pariah,” to beg for more oil.
20 seconds later, he says, “It happens to be a larger meeting taking place in Saudi Arabia. That’s the reason I’m going.” pic.twitter.com/K4bK6eAZAV

“What would be holding up the decision at this point? Are there commitments from the Saudis you’re waiting for?” The questions continued to roll in as the President struggled to respond.
“It happens to be a larger meeting taking place in Saudi Arabia. That’s the reason I’m going,” he said. “It has to do with national security with the Israelis. It has to do with much larger issues than the energy.”
The commentary reveals a continued trend of confusion and inability to think clearly, a concern of many who continue to observe the President’s declining mental capacity.
It is unclear what “larger meeting” Biden is referring to in his response, but one thing is clear: Biden immediately reversed his claim of being undecided on the trip to the Middle East.
