White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Thursday tried to cover for Joe Biden’s disastrous press conference.
Joe Biden held a confusing press conference on Thursday following Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine.
“No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening…Putin’s not going to say ‘oh, my God, the sanctions are coming.’” Biden said before announcing new sanctions.
Biden looked and sounded weak as he sanctioned four major banks in Russia.
A reporter asked Psaki about Biden’s comment that “no one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening.”
“That’s not exactly what he meant,” Psaki said.
