In happier times the Klitschko brothers held multiple heavyweight titles in boxing.
In July 2011, Insider reported on the Klitschko brothers in boxing:
That’s Wladimir Klitschko (left) and his big brother Vitali. Together they own all six of boxing’s major championship belts in the heavyweight division.
Vitali holds the WBC title, while Wladimir – who beat David Haye last weekend to claim the WBA crown – holds all the others. (Those belong to the IBF, IBO, WBO, and The Ring magazine.)
The Ukrainian brothers have unified the belts within the family, but don’t expect them to go any farther than that. The two have never fought each other, and don’t plan to.
Today these brothers are calling for peace as Russia has invaded their homeland. They ask people around the world to observe and stand together against Russian aggression. They note “together we are strong”.
