The mainstream media and left-wing trolls are pushing a conspiracy theory accusing Stop the Steal organizer Ali Alexander of colluding with GOP House members to coordinate an “insurrection” of the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
Alexander filed a lawsuit against Pelosi and the January 6 House Select Committee on Friday night to bar the panel from obtaining his private telephone records.
While the grassroots organizer initially complied with the committee, he warns the probe has gone too far by demanding over 90 days of “phone and subscriber records” from Verizon.
“The Committee has secretly subpoenaed the phone and subscriber records for over 100 other individuals.” Ali Alexander told The Gateway Pundit in an exclusive interview. “I’m glad we caught them in the act. I’m excited to Stop the Steal of civil liberties. My records don’t hide anything, but the federal government doesn’t have the right to pilfer through my stuff.”
“I paid to file this suit because I need to protect the civil liberties of all of those who interacted with me over the course of three months too. This lawsuit is to protect every American citizen,” he said. “They don’t just want my phone records; they want everyone’s phone records — even Jim Hoft’s phone records because I was communicating with him and made sure he had a VIP ticket to see President Trump. I have to sue to protect patriots,” he continued. “That’s why I’m suing their donkey asses off!”
Corporate media outlets reporting on the lawsuit were full of glee after coming across a portion of the complaint summarizing what he told the Select Committee in a private deposition he petitioned to be made public.
Pages 18 through 19 of the 25-page complaint the complaint state:
At Alexander’s December 9, 2021 deposition, he testified that he had a few phone conversations with Representative Paul Gosar and no verbal phone conversations with Representatives Andy Biggs or Mo Brooks that he recalls. The Select Committee asked him about all three Members of Congress. Mr. Alexander testified that he had phone conversations with Rep. Brooks’ staff about a “Dear Colleague” letter and how his activists could be helpful. Mr. Alexander believes he exchanged a text message with Rep. Brooks, contents which he provided to the Committee. He also testified that he spoke to Rep. Biggs in person and never by phone, to the best of his recollection. In January, Mr. Alexander held an organizing call where Members of Congress might have been present, and some were invited. He doesn’t recall who was in attendance because there was no roll call of attendees because the call was so large.
A headline by Rolling Stone summarizing the excerpt of the complaint blares Alexander, “Spilled to Jan. 6 Committee About Contact With Republican Lawmakers,” insinuating Alexander’s admission criminally implicates the GOP congressmen.
“‘Stop the Steal’ founder Ali Alexander points finger at GOP Congressmen in Jan. 6 testimony,” left-wing rag Salon boasts.
Yet, the testimony actually exonerates Reps. Andy Biggs, Mo Brooks and Paul Gosar from the baseless claims alleging their involvement with the Stop the Steal effort or any purported planning of chaos that day.
Like, the correspondence between Mark Meadows and Donald J. Trump Jr. and Fox News hosts that were presented by the committee, some of which were doctored, facts and testimony presented by Alexander prove there was no coup or plot to overthrow Congress itself.
But facts won’t stop the fake news media from pumping out fake news, Alexander argued.
“The Select Committee basically lifted conspiracy theories from Twitter and was shocked when I debunked it all. It was rather silly and a waste of everyone’s time,” he said. “No GOP Member of Congress is guilty of a damn thing from January 6th. It’s a silly political attack.”
“Congressman Paul Gosar is a hero and friend of mine. Representatives Andy Biggs and Mo Brooks are great conservatives who legally fought the botched Electoral College. I never, ever, ever asserted that these three Congressmen coordinated on the details of our rallies or secretly hoped for an attack,” he said. “The Marxist Revisionist Left ran with that narrative because they were eager to pin me against these great conservative Congressmen.”
Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, conservative attorney John Eastman, four Trump campaign operatives, and an independent photojournalist are all suing Pelosi’s Committee for subpoenaing the telecommunication services for their phone records and private correspondence.
Ali Alexander has not set up fundraising yet for his legal offense fund, but he is accepting prayers.
