The Senate on Wednesday voted 52-48 to repeal Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for private businesses.
Democrat Senators Manchin and Tester joined with the Republicans and voted to overturn Biden’s mandate.
“I’m not crazy about mandates,” Tester told NBC News before the vote, later calling the federal requirements “burdensome regulations.”
However, the resolution will likely be blocked by the Democrat-controlled House.
If the resolution passes the House, Joe Biden will veto it, Psaki said this week during a press conference.
Joe Biden mandated all companies with 100+ employees to either test workers or prove they are vaccinated.
Three federal judges have blocked Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates within the last few weeks.
Louisiana U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty blocked a federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers a week ago.
The ruling by Judge Doughty follows Missouri US District Judge Matthew Schelp’s ruling that blocked mandates in 10 states.
A federal judge on Tuesday blocked Joe Biden’s vaccine requirement for federal contractors nationwide.
