A 49-year-old man has been arrested after the Fox News Christmas tree was lit on fire outside the network’s headquarters in Manhattan.
The tree was “completely engulfed in flames” early Wednesday morning.
Fox News host Shannon Bream reported on the incident as it was taking place outside.
“A bit of breaking news for you tonight,” Bream began. “You’re looking at live images. This is the Fox Square in New York outside of Fox headquarters. It appears that our giant Christmas tree there, just a couple minutes ago was completely engulfed in flames.”

We saw the crews there bravely fighting through this. They have gotten this under control. Looks like the fire is out for now. But we’re gonna monitor the situation, try to find out what sparked this whole thing. But for now, it looks like everybody is safe and sound. The fire is out.”
